John Rogers and Associates LLC is built on more than 25 years of residential construction experience in North Atlanta. John founded and led John Rogers Renovations from 1996 to 2019 before selling the company.
Today, the focus is different.
John takes on a limited number of projects and works with clients who value clear decisions, well-defined scopes, and disciplined execution. Every project begins with a clear plan and a straightforward goal: define it properly upfront, manage it tightly, and deliver it well—while allowing room for thoughtful adjustments and improvements along the way.
This is not a high-volume operation. It’s a hands-on, system-driven approach built for clients who want a well-run project—not a drawn-out, constantly shifting process.
Work is limited to Woodstock, East Cobb, and Roswell, where John has long-standing relationships and a proven track record.
Continue below for a personal note from John.
From John:
'“After some time abroad, it’s good to be back home and back in the rhythm of designing and building. Getting back into the work—design, planning, and project management—has been both natural and energizing.
“The design phase is where I enjoy the process the most. It’s taking what a client thinks they want and helping them clarify what they actually want to live with day to day. How they use the space. Where they sit. What they look at. How it feels over time. The goal is always a design that fits the way they live—timeless, well thought out, and not driven by short-term trends.
“On the production side, good project management comes down to clarity and consistency—who is doing what, when it’s happening, and where things stand at all times. Setting expectations early and managing them throughout the process is what keeps projects on track. Clear scheduling, proactive communication, and steady oversight make a difference, both for the client and for the team.
“I’m also continuing to work with many of the same trade partners I’ve trusted for years. They know the level of detail and execution expected, and they consistently deliver. That continuity matters—it’s a big part of how we run projects efficiently and finish them well.
“It’s good to be back doing the work at a high level again.”
A Different Approach to Remodeling
Built on Experience. Refined by Process
Most remodeling projects don’t fail because of craftsmanship. They fail because of poor planning, unclear expectations, and lack of control over the process.
That’s where we’re different.
We take a disciplined, structured approach to every project—long before construction begins. From the first conversation through design, estimating, and execution, the focus is on clarity, accuracy, and accountability.
Clear scope, defined up front
Realistic budgets based on actual costs
A schedule that is built, tracked, and managed
Consistent communication throughout the project
This isn’t about overpromising or chasing trends. It’s about doing the work the right way—so the end result reflects both the design and the plan behind it.
John Rogers has spent decades learning what works—and what doesn’t—when it comes to residential construction. That experience shows up not just in the finished product, but in how each project is managed from start to finish.
The goal is simple:
Deliver exactly what was agreed upon, executed at a high level, with no surprises along the way.
Our Process
Every project starts with a conversation and moves through a clear, structured process designed to bring your ideas into focus and into reality. The goal is simple—define the project well, align expectations early, and execute at a high level.
Step 1: Initial Phone Call
A quick 15–20 minute call to cover the basics:
Overview of your project
Timeline expectations
Preliminary budget range
Initial thoughts and feedback from me
This call helps us confirm we’re aligned and that we’re a good fit. I tend to communicate directly, and this is where you’ll get a feel for that.
Step 2: On-Site Consultation
If we move forward, we schedule a meeting at your home with all decision-makers present.
During this meeting we:
Discuss your ideas and goals
Review layout, function, and design direction
Talk through how the space will actually be used
Explore options and possibilities
Establish a preliminary price range
This is a working session—ideas get refined, and the project starts to take shape.
Step 3: Design Agreement
The next step is a formal design contract.
Typical kitchen design: $3,500 – $5,000 (varies by scope)
Deliverables include:
Construction drawings
Design drawings
A completed construction contract
We can also coordinate with interior designers as needed. Interior design services are separate.
Step 4: Finalizing Scope & Investment
Once design is complete:
We review and adjust scope as needed
Refine the project to align with your budget
Finalize all details in the construction contract
Everything is clearly defined before construction begins.
Step 5: Contract & Deposits
Once the contract is approved and signed:
5% deposit for construction
50% deposit on special-order materials (cabinets, etc.)
The timing of construction is driven by material lead times and project readiness.

From first call to start of construction, the process is intentional and structured. It allows us to move forward with clarity and confidence.
The production phase is just as detailed and disciplined. I’m happy to walk you through that in person.
